Site Pipe Creek Cabin

“Pipe Creek Cabin is a historic 12' x 15' log cabin built around the turn of the century as a hunting and trapping cabin. Located on the north shore of Tustumena Lake, this cabin offers seclusion, hunting, sightseeing, and wildlife viewing. In the winter there is cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmachining. The cabin contains one bunk bed, a table with benches, countertop for food preparation, wood stove, splitting maul, crosscut saw, broom, shovel, fire extinguisher, an established campfire ring, and an outhouse. Because this cabin is located in designated wilderness, chainsaw use for firewood collection from dead and down trees is prohibited. Access to this cabin is by boat from the Kasilof River Landing, float or ski plane, cross-country skiing, and snowmachine. Contact Refuge Headquarters (907-743-9145) for snowmachine regulations. Refer to USGS map Kenai A-3. GPS coordinates: Latitude: 60.193508, Longitude: -150.75258.”
