- Park closureHome of FDR - Partial Closure of Rose GardenThe planting beds, lawns, and paths of the Rose Garden will be under construction from late March 2026 lasting through fall of 2026. This rehabilitation will restore the crisp, level character of the garden, improve access and infrastructure, and re-install historic rose and peony varieties. During this period, the Burial Site viewing area should remain available, but occasional disruptions may restrict public access. The graves, marble monument, pet graves, and sundial will not be impacted by this project.

Hours
From Memorial Day to the end of October, tours of the Home of FDR are offered daily. The first tour starts at 9:30 AM. The last tour starts at 4:00 PM. Each tour's approximate length is 45 minutes. Tour times are subject to change seasonally or due to special groups. Tickets are available to purchase on a first come, first served basis in the Visitor Center. Be advised that there is a 5-to-10-minute walk from the visitor center to the tour starting location at the stables.

The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site is located in the town of Hyde Park, NY, approximately 5 miles north of Poughkeepsie along Route 9, midway between New York City and Albany, about a 1.5 hour drive from either direction. Located on the east bank of the Hudson River, the park is easily reached by either the Taconic State Parkway or Route 9, and the New York State Thruway west of the Hudson River.
