“You must be on the water by Noon. Individuals who arrive later than this time may be denied permission to begin their trip. No refunds will be issued for late arrivals. Coffee Bay Shelter is located on the edge of the Suwannee Canal on the Orange Trail about 6 miles from SCRA. This location is great for less experienced paddlers and/or families with children. Coffee Bay Shelter is a dual use shelter meaning that motor boaters, day use paddlers and other wilderness campers are permitted to visit as long as they return to SCRA or make it to their wilderness campsite by the designated off the water time. You must, graciously, share the platform. Do not set up your full camp until 1.5 hours before off the water time. Please welcome and leave some space for others to enjoy the platform.”
