Drinking Water: cabin is situated on a freshwater lake. Filter/boil all drinking water. Heating: Nordic 130 oil drip stove; fuel consumption .05 - .15 gallons/hour. Fuel type: kerosene, heating oil, or automotive diesel. Do not attempt to use gasoline or white gas. Watch this operation video before you visit: Nordic Stove Operation Fishing: sockeye salmon, coco salmon, rainbow trout, Dolly Varden Hunting: bear, deer Recreation: bear viewing, hiking (off trail), photography, boating. Tip: this cabin is the highest elevation cabin available for rent on Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge at about 640 feet above sea level”
