“ACCESS TO CABINS AND/OR BAYSIDE CAMPING IS RESTRICTED TO VEHICLES WITH A HEIGHT CLEARANCE OF LESS THAN 6 FEET 8 INCHES. BAYSIDE CAMPSITES HAVE NO ELECTRICITY. A maximum of TWO tents per campsite are allowed. There is a LIMITED overflow parking in the park, consequently there’s a limit of two vehicles allowed per site, and ALL camping equipment, vehicles, ‘towables,’ including vessels, must be contained within your reserved campsite. This primitive site has a picnic table, grill, and water spigot, but NO electricity. A small restroom is nearby, but campers must travel a half-mile to Buttonwood Campground to use its bathhouse with hot showers. Site faces an inlet that is 30' deep, where swimming is prohibited, however it’s less than 3,100' from the beach. The road to the Bayside Campground has a vehicle height restriction of 6 feet, 8 inches, as vehicles must travel under the New Bahia Honda Bridge (US1). The reservation fee includes a Monroe county surcharge of $2.50 per night. The maximum length of a camping site is 14 nights. Changing the registered name of a group or individual, or if the same individuals or the same persons in a family group make multiple advanced reservations, through any means, including the use of multiple user profiles, to circumvent the 14-night maximum or 56 nights total length of stay limit is prohibited. If a reservation or series of reservations is determined to be out of compliance with the maximum length of stay policy, then the camper will be contacted and directed to determine which reservations will be canceled to bring the camper into compliance. Refunds will be applied to any advance reservations, as necessary, to bring the total nights within the allowable limit. Cancellation fees will be applied for any advance reservation canceled for this reason. Information for all tent campers – the campsites are gravel on top of limestone rock. You may need sturdy stakes to secure your tent.”
