Site Pinnacles 2

“BACKPACKING CAMPSITE Campsite is located along the Pinnacles Trail, 2.5 miles from the trailhead in the Chisos Basin. The first 1/2 mile (.8 km) is fairly steep, after which the trail becomes moderately difficult. The Pinnacles trail is well maintained and easy to follow all year. The pinnacles trail is the steeper, yet shorter route to the High Chisos backcountry and the South Rim area. A large boulder provides separation and privacy from PI-3. This site has a lot of trees and surrounding vegetation to provide good shade. This is a hike-in site. Parking is available at the Chisos Basin trailhead or the Chisos Basin Amphitheater.”
